Annual Apparition To Jakov On December 25th 2009
At the last daily apparition to Jakov Colo on September 12th, 1998, Our Lady told him that henceforth he would have one apparition a year, every December 25th, on Christmas Day. This is also how it was this year. The apparition began at 14:35 am and lasted 12 minutes. Our Lady gave the following message:
“Dear children! All of this time in which God in a special way permits me to be with you, I desire to lead you on the way that leads to Jesus and to your salvation. My little children, you can find salvation only in God and therefore, especially on this day of grace with little Jesus in my arms, I call you to permit Jesus to be born in your hearts. Only with Jesus in your heart can you set out on the way of salvation and eternal life. Thank you for having responded to my call.”
Blessed Mother Guide Us 
I am a fellow believer in Christ, and I am concerned about this new doctrine of receiving words of wisdom or encouragement from the spirit of Mary who is in Heaven. We should not receive any word, knowledge, prophecy or anything else from anyone in the afterlife but God Himself via Jesus with the help of the Holy Spirit. I do not find any scriptures that state it is ok to receive anything like this some any dead saint or believer even if it is Jesus’s mother. I don’t say this out of hate, but concern for proper doctrine.
Also why is devotion to Mary listed more often and in place of devotion to Jesus Christ our messiah?
HI, my name is Mary. I have this blog to help bring people to Jesus. Its all about Jesus. Our Blessed Mother helps guide so many back to her Son. Who do we as children listen to, Our mothers, so what better person for Jesus to send than his Mother. As Catholics, we don’t worship Mary. We pray with Mary to her Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ. Mary helps guide us to Jesus. I was gifted with a trip to Medjugorje last August for the Youth Festival, it was amazing. Over 50,000 kids, teens and everybody worshipping Our Lord Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit was so alive it was amazing. Medjugorje happens to be a place of where the alleged apparitions of Our Blessed Mother have been occuring since 1981. All these people came because of this, you think if I can be close to Our Lords mother I will be close to him. I can tell you, all these people were there for Jesus as they prayed, cried and worshipped Our Lord and grew closer to him. Yes, some went because of the apparitions but it is the Good Fruits that are coming from those visits which are important. I can not quote many bible verses, I have not studied theology but I can tell you that when you see this many people worshipping the Lord and the Holy Spirit is all around you, you know that these apparitions and Our Blessed Mother are guiding Jesus’ children back to him.

Let me see if I can assist you in understanding apparitions. First, the Transfiguration of Jesus, Moses and Elijah was an apparition, thus, it is in Scripture.
From the cross at the time of the Crucifixion, Jesus gives Mary the responsibility of being the Spiritual Mother for all of us: Woman, behold your son!. Would Jesus simply be assigning John the responsibility of taking care of his mother while suffering the greatest of all physical sufferings? Would he even be able to speak without great difficulty? Of course, the answer is, no.
As for devotion to Mary, it is veneration, not worship. I do not know of anyone in the Catholic Church who places Mary before Jesus. These concerns are very human but with God, there are many ways to follow devotion to Him. Mary is one of the most prominent and one of the most effective. My daily prayer is for a devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary who ALWAYS LEADS US TO HER SON!
I sincerely hopes this helps you in understanding these things. Lastly, Mary cannot appear in apparition WITHOUT the grace of the Holy Spirit, as she says in her messages at Medjugorje.

Thank you for replying so quickly I appreciate you explaining your knowledge and beliefs.
You have said many things that I have theological problems with and I want to address the main ones individually, I hate that this sounds like an attack on your beliefs but my concerns are still not at ease even with your reply which I greatly appreciate!
Yes the appearance of Jesus and the two patriarchs was an apparition but that does not give permission for anyone to appear such as Mary or anyone without Jesus present. Plus my problem was not with visual apparitions but with receiving a kind of prophetic word from anyone but Jesus/Holy Spirit, or a messenger angel. It is not the job of saints to deliver such messages and never do they in the Bible with the exception of the two prophets in the Tribulation coming physically and preaching.
I do not see anywhere in scripture where Mary is appointed to be the Spiritual Mother over mankind. Jesus saying to John “Behold your mother” does not ring spiritual or prophetic to me because John took her to her home. Plus the Spirit of God is the teacher, guide, counselor, comforter and many other traits to mankind that I see the Catholic church assigns to Mary. (I wrote a blog with a lot of the Spirit’s attributes, check it out).
When Jesus left He gave us the Spirit, not Mary.
When you say that Mary is the more prominent and effective form of devotion to Jesus I want to ask why don’t we see it in the Bible and why does it seem like you must “ping pong” off of Mary (a human) to get to Jesus (God). That sounds much like the O.T.’s use of the High priest which is now done away with and Jesus is our High priest. The beauty of the New Covenant is that we can go straight to Jesus completely and intimately. Hebrews 4:16 – we go straight to the throne boldly.
I have read that Mary lead us to Jesus and this sounds good theologically and logically but I still can’t accept that a human (even if she is Jesus’s mother) should have any part in prayer/devotion to God. The Holy Spirit guides us to Jesus Christ in salvation and in devotional time- 1Cor 12:3, 1Jhn 4:1, 1Cor13:14, 1Jhn 5:6.
Again thank you for your response and time spent. I wish I could color this text with love because it’s not coming from a Catholic hater nor do I just want a theological argument because I think I know it all.

I feel the love in your comments, so don’t worry about that. We could probably go back and forth on our beliefs, I believe the most important thing is that we both love Jesus and dedicate our Lives to Him. How we get to him is not important. If you think about it, Jesus uses everybody to help him. We are all disciples of Our Lord Jesus if we chose to be. I understand your thoughts and beliefs and if we could sit and talk it would be quite enjoyable. I see in your writing that you are a man of God and I respect that. Thank you again and God Bless.

You shall know them by their fruits. The fruits of Medjugorje are undeniable. They are leading people to Christ and changing lives for the better.
Jesus says that a kingdom divided cannot stand. Satan cannot work against himself. Jesus told this to the pharises when they saw him cast out demons.
What is happening in Medjugorje is beyond our human understanding. Jesus left us with ways to decifer if things were of God. We shall know them by their fruits. People have come back from Medjugorje with a new outlook on life. They attend church after being away for years. They come home with love and share that love with their families. Addicts have come home never to use again. People have had miraculous cures. People posessed by demons have been freed. If this was NOT of God then it would be satan working against himself. He HATES people going to church. He HATES people that love one another. He HATES the Woman ( Mary) because she was to bring forth the Savior of the world. Mary is giving us the Savior again. She is begging us to Love him with ALL our hearts. She is asking us to pray for one another and for people who have not yet come to know the love of her Son.
Satan would NOT want us to so this. He does not want us to Love the LORD our God. Mary is only appearing in order to draw the world AGAIN to her son. She is the mother of our Lord. This is the woman that dried our Saviors tears when he was a child. Who along with Joseph protected and nurtured the Son of God as a babe. Only with this kind of love can man truely understand what it is to love. She is love and she wants to lead us to the purest love there is. The love that is in Christ Jesus. She has always said in her messages that she would prefer us to pray to her son…but that if wanted to ask her to pray for us and our intentions…that she would intercede for us. Let is not forget that she was the first person along with Joseph who taught our Lord how to pray as a young boy. She was for our Lord a mother and protector and for Catholics she is all these things also. She teaches us to love and as a mother myself….I know that there is no greater human love than the love a mother has for her child. God trusted his only begotten son to her and so we as Catholics do the same. She is Mother of our Lord and therefore the Mother of all. Jesus teaches us that anyone who confesses that Jesus is come in the flesh and is the Son of the living God IS of God. This test has been passed with flying colors. The fruits of these apparitons and messages are good fruits because it leads all to Jesus and to the love he told us to have for one another. Learn about the fruits of this particular tree and you will see only Love and conversion.
